President's Message
I would like to take a moment to welcome you to our club. We the Members, Directors and Officers of the Deerfield Valley Stump Jumpers Snowmobile Club, located in Wilmington Vermont, are very excited to present to you, our members and fellow riders, our web site. You can obtain updated trail reports, weather reports, upcoming events and much more from our site. We hope you will find this information useful.
While you are enjoying our beautiful trail system, be sure to visit our local restaurants and shops. Don’t have you own home or condominium; the valley has many B&B, inns and hotels, many of which have direct access to our trails. There are links to many of these businesses here on our site.
Every season our club is the host to several events (weather permitting), so please check the Home page for further information. Our club holds monthly meetings the first Saturday of each month during the season. Dates, times and locations of the meetings can be found on our home page.
In the fall the club performs trail maintenance on the weekends. This fall thanks to Irene, our trial system has suffered serious damage. Thanks to the tireless efforts of all of our volunteers we were able to completely rebuild and repair the two washed out bridges in the gravel pit in the first weekend of work. The next weekend, three more bridges were built and/or repaired, along with miles of trail erosion repair. There is still a lot of work left to do and we are always in need of volunteers affectionately known as Worker Bees. New faces and helping hands are always welcome and NEEDED! As noted on the home page, if you can lend a helping hand, please contact one of the zone leaders to find out when and where your help is needed.
