As all of the southern Vermont snowmobile clubs are stating - 2 inches of rain was received yesterday. It is recommended that snowmobiles stay off the trails until they are frozen. Our fabulous trailmaster and groomers are out assessing the conditions. Updates will be posted. Trail reports will be updated as conditions change.
It is bone chilling cold out there. The north trails to Somerset were groomed Sunday night. With this cold weather the trails are sweet and smooth! Chimney Hill was also groomed and the south trails were groomed Monday night.
Stay safe, stay right, stay on the trails, and respect our landowners
Start your engines. Plan is to groom tonight. Tomorrow trails will be great. At least 12 inches or more of new snow is on the trails.
A big thanks to Mario our trailmaster and crew along with groomer Lenny getting more of the trails cleaned up this week. The weather reports are in for a big snow storm 24-30 inches from Sat - Sun. Stay right and slow down on the corners. Grooming will be reported ASAP.
Sorry for the silence DVSJ snowmoilers. It’s been a struggle but our new website is here for the 2019 NEW YEAR! We have been busy getting the trails cleared. Our trail master Mario and crew along with our fab groomers have been very very busy! The good news is trails are open and more snow is coming this MLK weekend. Right now the Chimney Hill area is thin covered. There is logging on the west side of RTE 100 tunnel.
Because of the light snow Layla’s Riverside Lodge trail to the Saloon is closed until more snow. It appears that some ‘yahoos’ didn’t respect the landowners property and tore up the grass. Park your sled and walk to the saloon please. Stay tuned for more updates.
